With this app visitors can easily compare product specifications. It adds products to compare to a list and stores this to view it as a comprehensible, clear comparison list. This product overview can then be shared with others by clicking the "copy link"-button.

The idea behind the app

The ambition was to build an Ecwid app that facilitates the feature to compare product by specifications, so visitors can more easily compare products and make a better choice which one to buy. Our app does that in a clear way, with an interface design that encourages people to value the specifications of each product and decide which product to buy.
So how does "Compare and share" work?
add products by clicking the "Compare" checkbox that appears on every product card and product detail page
view products in the comparison-overview that lies on top of the web page
delete items from the comparison list if products don't match the users interest
share comparison list by copying the link, to share with others by Whatsapp or mail or any other way users prefer!
Every product card has a "Compare" button at the bottom of a product card. This is the case on the product overview page as well as on the detail page. Click the Compare-checkbox to add it to the comparison list.
If the item already has been added, the "Compare"-checkbox is already checked, and can be unchecked by clicking it.
Q: Where do the specifications data come from?
From the Attributes tab in the Ecwid back office. Click on a product in the back office to enter the product data; click on "Attributes" (screenshot), and enter your own specifications to be used in the Compare-and-share app. "Attributes" is the place where product specifications can be entered
Q: How many products can visitors collect?
Any amount of products can be collected with Compare-and-share.
Q: Is any personal data stored?
Nope. All data that is stored on the user device is the products and their specifications that they add to compare.
Q: How can visitors send their collected products to somebody else?
Just click on the "Copy link to share"-button. Paste this link in Whatsapp, mail or any other way to share with people, or to yourself, as a reminder.
